Events ECCN run several social events through the year aimed at sharing different cultures and bringing different communities together socially and encouraging understanding and integration. National Play Day Wednesday 4th August, 1pm - 4pm - Hampden Park We will be attending the local National Play Day event at Hampden Park again this year with our information stand. Last year’s Play Day was a fantastic day of family fun with music, crafts and games for kids to enjoy and we’re looking forward to seeing you all there again. Enrolment Days Saturday 21st August, 10am - 12pm and Thursday 26th August, 9am - 7pm ECCN Office, Cavendish Place Two opportunities to pop along to our offices and learn more about our English classes. If you’re looking for fun, flexible learning with experienced and qualified teachers then these are the classes for you. Come and meet the teachers and sign up to start RNLI Regatta Saturday 28th August, 1pm - 4pm - Sovereign Harbour We are proud to be supporting the opening day of the RNLI Regatta this year and some of our friends will be providing entertainment throughout the day.  This event combines nautical fun and a chance to support the sterling work done by the RNLI and is always a fun day out for all. Shinewater Fun Day Saturday 4th September, 12pm - 5pm - Shinewater Park We’ll bring our “Name The Teddy” game and information stand to this fantastic fun event at Shinewater Park with a fete and planty of family activities. Bring a Picnic - New Date Saturday 11th September, 10am, Knockhatch Adventure Park We’ve set a new date for our family outing to Knockhatch Adventure Park near Hailsham September 11th. ECCN will be there and would love for you to join us for fun and a picnic. There’ll be lots to do with activities for all ages from soft-play to birds of prey. Black History Event Saturday 16th October, 1pm - 5pm - Town Hall, Grove Road Join us for a celebration of Black History with a combination of entertainment and education. Loy Krathong Sunday 21st November - Town Hall, Grove Road For the first time in Eastbourne, the Thai community will be celebrating Loy Krathong. The festival of Loy Krathong is a time to pay respects to the Goddess of Water. The event will be held at Eastbourne Town Hall on 21st November. There will be traditional Thai food, dance and music. You are invited to wear Thai costume and participate in beauty contest. There will be a display of Krathongs (small traditional hand-crafted decorative rafts) which can be purchased at the end of the celebration. Check back here for more details as they’re confirmed.
